My inner cynic having received a big boot up its backside- I was desperate to know more .I immediately rang the Level 4 Practitioner, who also lived nearby. When I told him what had happened he said I had probably 'picked it up - it has happened '. It would appear there were also reports of people picking up this 'new energy ' I felt tense and restless for the next two days. I had got used to giving myself a Reiki treatment every day or a no hands energy shower as I thought of it - relax and let it flow. When I finally did manage to let go what hit me was more like a ultra sonic power shower. I had thought of myself as been well plugged in with Reiki but this was high voltage mains stuff. My whole body shook and vibrated . The energy shot through every blockage, inflammation and discomfort like a laser through butter. My palms felt like hundreds a pins were being pushed into them. I could not wait to see what might happen at the next session! The Level 4 had been practicing for several years and had trained with and assisted Eric Pearl on many seminars. He told me that he had been taking medication for Irritable Bowel syndrome when he started but that had long since disappeared. He also looked astoundingly young for his age. During this session I felt waves of energy flowing from his body as he stood beside me and some very strange sensations in my body . It felt like someone was pulling at my ribcage and my knees. Afterwards I walked home instead of taking the train and bus I had come on. It was not until I found myself taking a long detour in my local, very large park that I realised what I was doing. At this point I had better mention that at that time I was in my mid 50s ,walked with a stick and needed a stair lift to access stairs. Walking that distance was out of the question, it was just too painful. My knees had lost cartilage as a result of a bad break and my legs were beginning to splay out wards from the knees. My left side was weak and my right side over developed causing my back and hips to be off alignment. My left knee was always inflamed and painful and anti inflammatory drugs had damaged my stomach. Discovering Reiki had been a' God send' - I was able to regularly clear the inflammation and control the pain enabling me to return to working. And the more I worked with energy the more convinced I became that I could heal myself completely - if I could only get hold of enough raw material - if I could only make that illusive jump! When I finally did get home after walking miles in a pain free haze, I looked into the mirror and found that my hips, back and legs were straight! The next three months were a roller coaster ride . My life went into hyper speed and things came at me thick and fast. I had experienced significant forward shifts in my life with every Reiki attunement and many of my students report the same - but this was a whole other ball game! I hardly slept- I did not need to. Within the space of 10days I finally made the decision to leave my rather boring part time job , found a new one, was offered it and started it . Meanwhile my body was spontaneously remodelling itself. It was like having my very own invisible Osteopath with me everywhere I went-some muscles were being stretched , whilst others contracted and strengthened. All I had to do was relax and let it happen. I gave up using my walking stick. My stair lift broke down and was going to cost so much to mend I decided not to bother - I did not need it anymore My new job gave me access to other Therapists and I decided to try a session of Cranial Osteopathy. Meditation was easy. I would drop deeply in moments and find myself in a world of bright coloured fireworks rushing through tunnels of stars. I had visions of faces, books and mathematical equations . I saw symbols and DNA strands flashing into life. When I treated clients I found I was lifting my hands up further off them. The higher my hands were the denser the energy and the more they reacted. However I soon began to feel overwhelmed and unsure about what I was doing, whilst some of my old clients were a little freaked when their bodies started twitching and jumping. I started to turn people away and sent them to the Level4 instead. Being close to people was draining me , the energy seemed to flow out faster than I could replenish it and being in a crowd was very uncomfortable. I felt quite cut off. No one I knew had heard about this 'new energy' and neither of the Reconnection practitioners I had worked with had had quite the same experiences . I remember speaking to a group of Reiki practitioners about the Reconnection and saying that carrying that much energy was quite scary and that I would not like to have to do it all the time. Back then I did not appreciate just how much attention the Universe and our own bodies pay to what we think and say. My body quickly showed signs that it had been listening. I started to feel a tightening around my waist /solar plexus, the flow was being restricted . The energy slowed down and with it my own healing. Despite the vast improvement some very deep tensions remained which were still the cause of some pain and discomfort . The completion of my 'miracle' healing had been put on hold. I spent the following two years on a quest to find out what this 'new energy' was all about and why I was blocking it. Of course having spent the first 50years of my life in the old energy as an energy sceptic and control freak, it is probably not surprising that I was having problems adjusting to the new frequency. The channelled Kryon books informed me of the shift of the earth's magnetic pole and our shift in evolution. And the Abraham /Hicks channelled books taught me to think and speak more positively. Acupuncture and Rolfing treatments worked very deeply to relax some very old deep tensions and temporarily opened me up to the new vibration again .With it came surges forward in my own healing. But the effect was short lived. As soon I stopped having the treatments, I closed down again. Eighteen months after my first Reconnective healing, the Reconnection team came back to London ,this time minus Eric Pearl who had trained enough Level 5 Teachers to entrust them with some of the training seminars. I signed up in the hope of learning more about what was going on and was relieved to hear some of the teaching team describing the very same experiences that I had had. Apart from that , the seminar did not tell me anything I had not already worked out for myself . With this method of energy healing there is very little technique required ,no symbols or mantras ,no set hand positions or chakra balancing , no formal attunement. When energy is vibrating this fast they are not necessary . High vibration always flows to lower vibration , like water flows down hill . It moves like greased lightning and does not need coaxing or directing. The weekend is really all about being immersed in a high vibration energy field that has been built up in the space by the teacher and his assistants. Of course just how much each person picks up or opens up to and how long it stays with them after the seminar is impossible to say. Some people reacted very strongly to being treated - any where from rapid eye movement to twitching and thrashing about and vocally from a low moan to loud cries. [ not in pain I hasten to add.] A few were so overwhelmed they had to leave the room to recover. [especially those who came into contact with the Level 5.] The Level 1/2 seminars always begin with a demonstration 'miracle 'healing. They ask if there is anyone there with arthritic hands or shoulder problems. This time a woman with shoulder problems volunteered.. She lay on a massage table while the Level 5 walked around it , still continuing to address the attendees. After a couple of minutes he asked her to stand and lift her arms up. We could all see there was a very significant improvement .By the second day she had developed tiny blisters on her hands and by the end of the weekend she was moving her arms freely for the first time in years. During the weekend he described many other similar healings and many far more dramatic ones that he and others have facilitated. He told us that he himself has been cured of a serious back problem and many of the teaching assistants told us of huge improvements in their own health too. I have no reason to disbelieve any of these claims especially after what I have experienced. So what are the chances of emerging from one of these seminars as a 'Miracle healer ' ? Pretty slim. There are only a hand full of people who are getting results like Pearl, they are nearly all American and have been working closely with him for several years to rise to Level 5 . The feedback I have had from a few of the other students there that weekend suggests that they are experiencing similar effects to people who have had Reiki attunements. But as there were about 90 people there - who knows! Miracles, it seems, can happen! We all react differently to energy after all. Why does one person receive a miracle healing and not another? Why did I pick up the new energy from one healing session while others have felt very little change? Why are some people carrying this much energy with ease while others have to battle with their blocks? We all have our theories about how energy works. The Reconnection say honestly that they do not know how or why it works. They just marvel and are grateful when it does. The next step on the Reconnection path is to receive your personal Reconnection and then to do the Level 3 seminar to learn how perform it . After that you can train to be a Level 4 teaching assistant and mentor. But to progress to level 5 is likely to be a long and expensive business. Level 4s have to assist at a many seminars before they can qualify and they travel largely at their own expense. The Reconnection is a business and a very profitable one. The name is a registered trade mark and their logo is copy righted. You have to pay extra to use it and to register on their web site practitioner listing. As yet the Reconnection is as slow to catch on in this country as Reiki was 20yrs ago- back then training to be a Reiki Master was a long and expensive business too. There is , however , no doubt in my mind that ,at least for the moment , the Reconnection is top of the league in the' level of vibration stakes.' In fact they have even had it measured. Gary Schwartz ,director of the Human Energy Systems Laboratory at the University of Arizona invited representatives of the major energy healing modalities to come and have their vibrational levels tested. The Reconnection was the highest. |
